On 31 July 2020, the stands of Mardin’s Midyat and Dargeçit municipalities were visited at the 24th Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Fair held at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre in Istanbul.
At the fair, which brought together representatives of the tourism and travel sector, the Midyat and Dargeçit municipalities introduced the historical, cultural and touristic assets of their districts to visitors at their stands.
Promoting Mardin’s rich cultural heritage on national and international platforms is of great importance for supporting the region’s tourism potential and economic development. Süleyman Doğan’s visit was part of his support for these efforts to promote his home city of Mardin.
