On 23 March 2019, the Mardin Midyat Zahuranlılar Social Solidarity and Culture Association (MİZADER) hosted Bağcılar Mayor Lokman Çağırıcı at its headquarters in Istanbul. Mayor Çağırıcı was welcomed by the association’s Founding Secretary General, Süleyman Doğan.
Founded in Istanbul in 2018, MİZADER works to strengthen family ties and to carry out social solidarity and cultural activities. The association aims to deepen solidarity among Zahuranlı fellow townspeople living in Istanbul and to pass cultural heritage on to new generations.
Close communication with local governments helps the association’s social and cultural work reach wider audiences. Mayor Çağırıcı’s visit was a sign of the friendly relationship between MİZADER and Bağcılar Municipality.
